88, passed on Saturday, November 17th surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren. He was the husband of Julieta Nascimento. Born in Santo Antao, Cape Verde and moved to America in his late 70’s. ‘Lauras’ as his family called him, has now returned to the arms of his late son, Cecilio Nascimento.

Besides his wife he is survived by his 4 children: Elisio Nascimento, Natanael Nascimento, Ines Lopes and Zenaida Silva, 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. As well as 2 brothers, 2 sisters and countless nieces and nephews.


Laurindo enjoyed being surrounded by happiness, his family and his incredible wife. They played cards and went on walks, all while taking care of any young children in the household. He lived a long beautiful life filled with laughter and love. Laurindo was known by many near and far and will be dearly missed. His family will remember him as he was at his prime from the crazy dance moves, to his ticklish knee and slick comebacks.

His visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 with visitation from 5pm until 7pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI. Funeral services will start at 7pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
